Flowers Foods is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Route Sales Representative Trainer to support operations and train new Route Sales Representatives in the Saco, ME area.

The Route Sales Representative Trainer will cover multiple routes as needed, provide field training to new hires, and help ensure customer service, sales goals, and company standards are met.

Flowers Foods manufactures many of America's favorite brands, including Nature's Own, Wonder Bread, Dave's Killer Bread, Tastykake, and Canyon Bakehouse.

Training Pay: $24.50/hour for approximately the first 4 weeks while learning routes and company procedures

After Training Pay: $26.40/hour

Schedule:

Route Sales Representatives typically begin their workday between 3:00 a.m. and 4:00 a.m.; however, exact start times vary by warehouse and route assignment and will be determined by the Area Sales Director based on business and customer needs.

You will average 45-55 hours per week, work EVERY Saturday, and have Sundays and Wednesdays off. (this is subject to change based on business needs)

Responsibilities

• Train new Route Sales Representatives on route procedures, merchandising, ordering, and customer service.
• Cover open routes, vacations, and staffing needs throughout the Southern and Central Maine area.
• Deliver, sell, and merchandise fresh bakery products to retail customers.
• Build strong relationships with store managers and customers.
• Order product, maintain inventory, rotate product, and remove stale or damaged items.
• Create displays and increase sales opportunities through merchandising.
• Operate an 18-foot box truck safely and maintain a clean, organized vehicle.
• Complete required paperwork, route settlements, inventory, and vehicle inspections.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Minimum of 1 year of route sales, retail sales, DSD sales, delivery, or related experience preferred.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver's license with a safe driving record.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DOT Medical Card.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work throughout the day.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to train and coach others.
• Must be flexible and willing to travel throughout Southern and Central Maine to support route coverage needs.

Pay: $24.50 - $26.50 per hour
