Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Welder/Fabricator to join our dynamic manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for TIG/MIG welding stainless steel, steel, and aluminum alloys. Welders are responsible for the welding and fabrication of tubular and sheet metal components and assemblies.

Responsibilities

• Setup and layout jobs using prints, diagrams, and fixtures following welding procedures to TIG weld in all positions including the use of rotary turntables for manual welding
• Manual weld 0.020” to 1.5” thickness in all positions
• Inspects, maintains, and logs preventative maintenance on equipment needed for welding and fabricating
• Sets up machines according to work instructions to trim, size, form, inspect, and weld material to meet fabrication drawing requirements
• Drawing review and compliance for final dimensions, weld note callouts, base material, and filler material selection
• Solvent cleaning, trimming, sizing, and polishing to prepare weld joints for welding
• Tack welding, fabrication of shop aids and fixtures to assist fabrication and quality standards
• Comply with internal quality control and regulatory requirements

Requirements

• 1+ year experience with TIG/MIG welding in a fabrication shop environment
• Ability to pass TIG or MIG welding assessment and become certified on required alloy/joint combinations
• Attention to detail and hand/eye coordination skills
• Mathematical skills and ability to read prints
• Interpret specifications, drawing prints, and work instructions
• Decision making based on experience and available data
• Prioritization of attendance and punctuality

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

• Occasionally lift 25-65 lbs
• May be exposed to noise, dust, fumes, airborne particles, and welding smoke, not to exceed OSHA permissible exposure levels
• Minimal supervision to plan and schedule workload according to production schedule to meet manufacturing needs
• Safety training and equipment are provided by PMF in accordance with applicable law, industry standards, and company policy

Pay: $20.00 - $24.00 per hour
