Position Overview

The Machine Operator (Boring Operator) performs operational work related to setting up, operating, and maintaining machinery on a wood boring line used in the manufacturing process. To operate proficiently, this individual must safely produce quality products while consistently meeting target production levels.

Key Duties:

• Operate machinery safely and efficiently.
• Set up equipment for production runs.
• Monitor machine performance and product quality.
• Make minor machine adjustments and troubleshoot downtime.
• Inspect finished products for defects and perform QC inspections.
• Complete production records and reports.
• Participate in and contribute to the company safety program.
• Follow safety procedures and workplace regulations, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Perform routine cleaning.
• Read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Key Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to work safely in a manufacturing environment while following established safety procedures and using required PPE.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math calculations.
• Ability to lift and perform physically active work, including standing, walking, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
• Reliable attendance and the ability to work scheduled shifts and overtime as needed.
• Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment drug test and background check.
• One year of experience in manufacturing, production, construction, woodworking, or a similar hands-on industrial environment preferred
• Experience operating, setting up, or troubleshooting production equipment preferred
