Overview
The Specimen Processor plays a critical role in the healthcare laboratory environment, responsible for the accurate collection, processing, and management of biological specimens. This position requires a detail-oriented individual who can work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while adhering to strict safety and quality protocols. The Specimen Processor will ensure that all specimens are handled with care, following aseptic techniques and laboratory procedures to maintain integrity for accurate testing.

Duties:

• Enter and verify lab data accurately into the system
• Label and log incoming samples and specimens
• Track and organize sample flow through the lab
• Communicate with lab staff regarding errors or missing info
• Assist with preparing samples for testing (non-technical)
• Ensure all daily tasks are completed before leaving

Requirements:

• Must speak and understand English
• Strong computer and fast typing skills
• High attention to detail
• Reliable and flexible with working late hours as needed
• Previous lab or data entry experience is a plus but not required

This role is essential for ensuring that high-quality specimens are available for diagnostic testing, contributing significantly to patient care outcomes.

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour
