The Hermann Wurst Haus is looking for a versatile, sharp, and proactive Junior Business Manager & Executive Liaison. This is a dynamic, high-visibility role where you will become the right hand to our owner, Mike Sloan.

Your primary mission? Take your 3 – 6+ years of real-world food industry experience and use it to master our operations, implement structure, keep vendors in check, and free Mike up to focus on growth. Key Responsibilities

• Executive Liaison & Freedom Fighter: Act as Mike Sloan’s operational partner. Anticipate administrative bottlenecks, handle critical correspondence, and take daily operational fires off his plate so he can focus on high-level strategy.
• SOP Implementation (Standard Operating Procedures): Use your industry knowledge to help us scale smoothly. You will be responsible for documenting, implementing, and enforcing standard operating procedures (SOPs) across the retail, shipping, and administrative sides of the house.
• Vendor & Supply Chain Hustle: Stay on top of our suppliers. You will be the point person for contacting vendors, tracking incoming orders, resolving delays, and managing invoice reconciliation. You aren't afraid to pick up the phone and push back when a delivery is late.
• E-Commerce & Shipping Logistics: Oversee the daily flow of online orders, ensuring our world-class meats arrive fresh and on time. (You will have access to a website and business process support team to assist you).
• Operational Flow: Keep the administrative and retail operations running seamlessly with a "Hermann hospitality" mindset.

• School of Hard Knocks Graduate: You have spent 3 to 6+ years in restaurants, catering, grocery, or retail food. You understand how the food business works because you've lived it.
• An Eager Learner with High Drive: You don’t need to know everything about the meat production industry on day one—we will teach you the trade. You just need the drive to transition your floor experience into business management.
• Organized & Assertive: You know how to command respect from vendors and keep staff aligned. You can jump from a billing spreadsheet to an SOP checklist without missing a beat.
• Proactive Problem Solver: You don’t just find problems; you bring a couple of solutions to Mike before he even knows a problem exists.

Qualifications

• Experience: 3 – 6+ years of hands-on experience in the retail food, beverage, grocery, or hospitality industry.
• Tech Literacy: Comfortable using Microsoft Office (Excel/Word). Experience with Kwik POS is a huge plus, but you must be willing and able to learn shipping, inventory, and billing software.
• Communication: Strong, professional verbal and written communication skills; you’ll be representing the Wurst Haus to major vendors and loyal customers alike.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.50 per hour
