What You'll Do

• Teach beginner and intermediate wheel throwing classes
• Teach beginner and intermediate hand building classes
• Teach one-time and multi-session workshops
• Support members through demonstrations and coaching
• Assist with studio technician responsibilities, including kiln loading/firing, clay reclaim,
• and studio organization
• Collaborate to improve workshops, teaching methods, and the overall learning experience
• Contribute learning content and support community events

Qualifications:

Required

• Minimum of 8 years of active ceramics practice
• Minimum 4 years teaching adult ceramics
• Strong proficiency in wheel throwing and hand building
• Ability to teach up to 16 students
• Experience with kiln firing, reclaim, and studio operations
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Preferred

• 10+ years of ceramics practice
• 5+ years teaching/coaching adult ceramics
• Learning content creation
• Interest in developing leadership skills

Compensation & Benefits:

• Full-time hourly position
• Guaranteed minimum of 32 hours/week
• Typical schedule of 32–40 hours/week
• Target annual compensation of approximately $65,000
• Anticipated hourly range: $35–$40/hour
• Health insurance after 90 days
