TWM is seeking a Missouri Construction Phase Lead – Structural Engineering to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a hands-on structural engineer who can step in and immediately contribute to the design of a wide range of Temporary Works and other structural engineering projects. Our highly qualified structural team supports a wide range of projects, from conventional to complex, requiring practical and constructible design solutions. Experience Level: 5+ years of full-time post-graduation experience
Schedule: Full-time, 40 hours/week, with the possibility of overtime
Salary: $80,000 - $120,000, salary is commensurate with experience
Location: Columbia, MO or St. Louis, MO
Essential Job Functions:
· Perform and/or direct the design of Temporary Works and other structural engineering projects
· Erection engineering and stability analysis
· Shoring, bracing, and falsework design
· Work with engineers of all experience levels to produce innovative and high-quality solutions
· Career path could include project management and business development, where more client and stakeholder interaction, developing scope, schedules and budgets, billings, etc. are needed.
Qualifications:
· Must have a Missouri Professional Engineer (PE) license. An Illinois (SE) license is desirable.
· Must possess a Civil Engineering bachelor’s degree with structural emphasis. A Master’s degree with an emphasis in structural engineering is a plus, but not required.
· Must have at least 5 years of applicable full-time post-graduation experience. Temporary works or construction engineering experience preferred
· Demonstrated ability with CAD (MicroStation preferred), spreadsheets, and general structural analysis software.
· Motivation to tackle unique structural design challenges in addition to more commonplace projects.
· Must be able to work independently as well as collaboratively, and possess the ability to direct the work of junior staff.
· Team-oriented and self-motivated. Attention to detail.
