Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Lead CNC Operator to oversee the setup, programming, and operation of various CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines within our manufacturing facility. As a lead on the production floor, you will ensure precision machining, maintain high-quality standards, and lead a team of operators to meet production goals efficiently. Your expertise in CNC programming, machine operation, and mechanical knowledge will drive continuous improvement and uphold safety protocols across all machining processes.

Responsibilities

Swiss and Doosan 2nd shift lead Overseeing operations and production

1 work with operators inspecting finished parts using precision tooling calipers, micrometers, blade mics and comparator to meet quality and specification.

2 Leading and training operators to improve technical skills and adhere to safety and quality standards.

3 Must be familiar with Doosan lynx 220, lsy220, puma tty1800

Must be bi-lingual

• Lead and coordinate the daily activities of CNC machine operators, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to safety standards.
• Program, set up, and operate a variety of CNC equipment including milling machines, lathes, stamping presses, press brake machines, and flexo presses.
• Interpret complex blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and CAD/CAM files to produce precise components.
• Maintain and troubleshoot CNC machinery such as Fanuc controls and programmable logic controllers (PLCs), ensuring optimal performance.
• Conduct quality control inspections using precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers to verify dimensions and tolerances.
• Collaborate with fabrication, assembly, and materials handling teams to ensure seamless production flow.
• Train new team members on CNC programming techniques, tooling setup, safety procedures, and equipment maintenance.

Experience

• Proven experience operating CNC machinery including CNC milling machines, lathes, stamping presses, welding equipment, and tooling setups in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages such as G-code or M-code; experience with CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software like SolidWorks or similar is preferred.
• Familiarity with Fanuc controls, PLC systems, CAD software, and blueprint reading is essential.
• Hands-on experience with mechanical tools such as hand tools for assembly line work and materials handling equipment like forklifts.
• Background in machining precision parts using various fabrication techniques; experience with welding is a plus.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings accurately while maintaining high standards for quality control using precision measuring instruments.
• Prior factory or manufacturing facility experience demonstrating safety awareness and teamwork skills.
