We are looking for a part time Corporate Compliance Officer to join our team. The Part-Time Corporate Compliance Officer is responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the organization’s compliance program to ensure adherence to all applicable federal and New York State laws, regulations, and ethical standards. This includes specific compliance with requirements set by the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS), as well as other regulatory bodies governing substance use disorder (SUD) treatment providers.

The Compliance Officer promotes a culture of integrity and accountability across the organization while mitigating risk and supporting high-quality patient care.

The Corporate Compliance Officer does related work as required.

AS A CORPORATE COMPLIANCE OFFICER YOUR REQUIREMENTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

Compliance Program Oversight

• Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Corporate Compliance Program aligned with OASAS, OMIG and federal guidelines
• Ensure compliance with applicable laws including HIPAA, Medicaid/Medicare regulations, and NYS-specific requirements
• Regularly review and update policies and procedures to reflect regulatory changes

Monitoring & Auditing

• Conduct periodic internal audits and risk assessments
• Monitor billing practices, documentation, and service delivery for regulatory compliance
• Ability to use and request technology systems for accurate, efficient, and secure data management, record keeping, and communication
• Track and report compliance metrics to leadership and the Board of Directors

Training & Education

• Develop and deliver compliance training for staff, leadership, and board members
• Ensure all employees understand compliance expectations, code of conduct, and reporting procedures

Reporting & Investigation

• Oversee compliance reporting mechanisms
• Investigate allegations of fraud, waste, abuse, or misconduct
• Ensure timely and appropriate response to compliance issues, including corrective action plans
• Report to the ACASA Board of Director quarterly

Regulatory Liaison

• Serve as the primary contact for OMIG, OASAS and other regulatory agencies regarding compliance matters
• Coordinate and support external audits, inspections, and accreditation reviews

Policy Development

• Draft and maintain the organization’s Code of Conduct
• Develop compliance-related policies including privacy, billing integrity, and documentation standards

Education and/or Experience:

Graduation from high school or possession of an equivalency diploma, plus EITHER:

a. Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with a bachelor’s degree. OR,

b. Graduation from a regionally accredited or New York State registered college or university with an associate’s degree plus two (2) years of full-time experience in healthcare compliance, either supervising or participating in the review, submission and auditing of private Insurances, Medicaid/Medicare reimbursement forms, insurance or medical claims.
