$45,825.00 - $73,320.00 annually plus benefits
The initial compensation for this position generally falls between $45,825.00 and $48,116.25, contingent upon relevant experience and qualifications.
Schedule
37.5 hours per week
Must be able to work day, evening, and weekend hours.
Manages, directs, and participates in the daily operations and activities of the Circulation Department in a full-service branch, including supervision of assigned staff, public service desk, circulation, and administrative duties.
Oversees the staff of the Circulation Department directly and Page Department indirectly, including:
Participating in staff interviews, hiring, and onboarding
Training, coaching, and managing staff
Scheduling and approving timesheets
Evaluating staff
Oversees all circulation operations to ensure efficient workflows.
Promotes library resources, programs, and services to increase customer engagement and community awareness.
Delivers exceptional service to every customer ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and consistent high-quality results.
Resolves issues in accordance with CCPL policies and procedures.
Supervises and supports the Page Department, including budgeting, scheduling, and daily operations.
Ensures accuracy and accountability in customer records, transactions, and financial processes, including daily cash management and bank deposits.
Oversees assigned budgets.
Maintains the integrity and accessibility of library materials through effective organization, shelving, delivery processing, and withdrawal of items.
Oversees branch opening and closing procedures to ensure facility readiness and security, as needed.
Troubleshoots circulation and customer service equipment to maintain consistent service operations.
Represents the branch in meetings, committees, outreach activities, and staff training to advance systemwide goals and initiatives.
Completes required administrative duties, including attending meetings, preparing and submitting reports, participating in training and workshops, and representing CCPL at regional or statewide events as assigned.
Maintains professional growth and development through participation in library teams, committees, outreach, training activities, and professional organizations.
Supports and performs branch-specific services and initiatives as needed.
Performs other duties assigned to support branch and system operations.
Work typically requires light physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes, or equipment. Work may occasionally demand strenuous effort in the handling of moderately heavy boxes or materials. Work may require standing for extended periods of time. Work may require stooping and bending.
The work environment involves everyday risks or discomforts which require normal safety precautions typical of such places as offices, meeting and training rooms, and libraries, e.g., use of safe workplace practices with office equipment, avoidance of trips and falls, and observance of fire regulations.
