About Poppins
Poppins is building the future of pediatric care. We provide families with on-demand virtual pediatric care and parenting support, and we're expanding our clinical footprint across all 50 states. We're looking for a highly organized Medical Licensing Coordinator to help us execute our nationwide provider licensing strategy.
This is a unique opportunity to build and optimize a licensing operation from the ground up at a fast-growing healthcare startup. You'll work directly with company leadership and play a critical role in enabling our clinicians to deliver care nationwide.
What You'll Do
You will own the end-to-end process of obtaining state licenses for our Nurse Practitioners and Pediatricians.
Responsibilities include:
- Coordinate multi-state Nurse Practitioner licensing applications across all 50 states
- Collect required documentation from providers, including licenses, certifications, transcripts, references, and identification documents
- Prepare and pre-fill state licensing applications using AI-powered workflow tools
- Track application requirements, deadlines, and outstanding items for each state
- Coordinate fingerprinting, background checks, license verifications, jurisprudence exams, and other state-specific requirements
- Submit applications to state Boards of Nursing
- Monitor application status and proactively follow up with licensing boards
- Build standardized workflows, templates, and documentation to improve efficiency as we scale
- Identify opportunities to automate repetitive licensing tasks using AI and workflow software
- Support additional credentialing and provider onboarding activities as needed
What We're Looking For
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of provider licensing, credentialing, medical staff services, or healthcare operations experience
- Experience working with Nurse Practitioner or Physician licensing preferred
- Experience with multi-state licensing or telehealth organizations is a plus
- Familiarity with CAQH, Nursys, state Boards of Nursing, and provider credentialing is preferred

Contract Details
- Remote position (U.S. only)
- 1099 Independent Contractor
- 40 hours per week
- 60-day engagement
- $25/hour
