Full Charge Bookkeeper / Staff Accountant — Custom Closet Manufacturer & Installer

California Closets of Southwest Florida is a growing, family-owned custom closet company — we design, manufacture, and install custom storage across Lee, Collier, Charlotte, Hendry, and Glades counties. Small team, tight-knit, led by a Senior Accounting Manager who's building a best-in-class accounting function. We need a steady, experienced Full Charge Bookkeeper / Staff Accountant to own the day-to-day execution under her.

This is not an entry-level seat. You will run accounts payable end-to-end, ALL accounts receivable processing across every customer type, close out jobs across four systems every day, prepare standard journal entries, and reconcile bank and credit cards without supervision. On the collection side, you run first-line follow-up on every account; specific triggers (age, balance, unsuccessful attempts) route builder and trade accounts to our Director of Sales & Marketing for relationship work — you keep the processing clean.

What you'll own

• Daily job close-outs across QuickBooks, Salesforce, Monday, and Dashboard
• Accounts payable end-to-end: invoice review, coding, data entry, vendor follow-up (Sr Accounting Manager runs payments)
• ALL accounts receivable processing — deposits, invoicing, customer payment links, retainage — for retail and trade accounts
• First-line collections cadence on every account (email + payment links + phone as appropriate)
• Weekly trigger-based escalation list to our Director of Sales & Marketing (specific triggers — you flag when they hit)
• Bank, credit card, and customer-deposit reconciliations daily
• Standard recurring journal entries under Sr Accounting Manager direction
• QuickBooks-to-Salesforce monthly revenue reconciliation (100% accuracy)
• Designer commission statements and monthly royalty computation
• Month-end close preparation under the Senior Accounting Manager's direction
• Monday Tracker, inventory reporting, and SOP maintenance

What we're looking for

• 5+ years of full-charge bookkeeping or staff accounting experience
• QuickBooks Desktop proficiency required (Enterprise a plus)
• Excel competence — pivot tables, lookups, comfortable with the data
• End-to-end AP and AR ownership in your past roles (not just data entry)
• Manufacturing, construction, cabinetry, or other project-based business experience strongly preferred
• Comfort making collection calls — steady tone, professional under pressure
• Salesforce or similar CRM experience a plus
• Reliable in-office attendance at our Alico facility
• Self-directed: you own your work, your documentation, and your cadence
• Detail-oriented and calm under recurring pressure
