Salary: Starting at $55000 / annually - depending on education / experience
Job Summary:
Coordinates all Woods System of Care Workers Compensation claims.
-
Workers Compensation claim administration including scheduling employee treatment as needed, follows through until resolution of claim, clears noted restrictions with employees Supervisor.

Guides employees throughout claim process.

Acts as a liaison between employees, insurance carriers and third-party administrators, facilitating claims.
-
Builds working relationships with insurance brokers, third-party administrators, legal counsel and other stakeholders.

Assists in identifying trends and potential high-risk areas to troubleshoot and reduce incidents.

Collaborates with management to identify acceptable alternate work locations or accommodations for employees on light duty.
-
Partakes in scheduling and attending site safety inspections for Workers Compensation, as needed.

Follows-up with appropriate management and maintenance staff to address resolution of safety concerns.

Responds to requests and supplies information for Workers Compensation litigation and participates in hearings/depositions, if necessary.

Promotes Workers Compensation policies and procedures.

Initiates drug screening associated with Workers Compensation claims.

Participates in routine meetings with Workers Compensation carriers.

Attendance at Affiliate Safety Committee meetings, where applicable.

Ensures compliance with OSHA reporting and requirements.

Conducts audits, at least quarterly, to ensure compliance and consistency.

HCM database maintenance and vendor portal maintenance.

Responsible for scanning and indexing documentation for various HR files to be maintained in database.

Individual must maintain confidentiality of all subject matter as appropriate.

Assists Workers Compensation Supervisor as needed.

Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field required, plus 2 years of HR experience.

Employee must possess mathematical aptitude and have strong verbal and written communication skills.
-
Commensurate relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.
Skills, Knowledge and Abilities

Working knowledge of Federal, Pennsylvania and New Jersey labor and employment laws and regulations, including relevant regulations like OSHA.

Strong computer competence with proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HR technology systems.
- Ability to operate a copier, fax, scanner and telephone.
- Ability to concentrate, to have initiative, to cope with stress and use independent judgment to accomplish results.
- Must demonstrate an ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.
