Loop-Loc is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Traffic / Shipping Coordinator to support the Traffic & Shipping Manager in overseeing daily shipping, logistics, and transportation operations. This role is responsible for coordinating outbound shipments, communicating with carriers and customers, preparing shipping documentation, and helping ensure all of our products are delivered accurately, safely, and on schedule. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong problem-solving skills, and can manage multiple priorities while maintaining excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Traffic & Shipping Manager with daily transportation and shipping operations
• Coordinate domestic and/or international shipments of large or oversized products
• Schedule pickups and deliveries with freight carriers, LTL, and specialized transport providers
• Prepare and process shipping documents including bills of lading, packing lists, freight paperwork, and carrier labels
• Track shipments and provide status updates to customers, sales teams, and internal departments
• Communicate with warehouses, production, and customer service to ensure timely shipment readiness
• Verify shipping accuracy, freight classifications, dimensions, weights, and routing information
• Monitor freight costs and assist with freight quote comparisons and carrier selection
• Resolve shipping discrepancies, delays, freight claims, and damaged shipment issues
• Maintain accurate shipping records
• Help ensure compliance with company procedures, safety standards, and transportation regulations
• Assist with continuous improvement efforts related to shipping efficiency and logistics processes

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate degree or logistics coursework preferred
• 2+ years of experience in shipping, logistics, traffic coordination, or transportation support
• Experience working with large, oversized, or industrial products preferred
• Familiarity with freight carriers, LTL/FTL shipping, and logistics coordination
• Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and ERP/shipping software
• Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work effectively under deadlines
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Customer service mindset with professional communication skills

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of freight terminology, routing, and shipping regulations
• Experience with warehouse or manufacturing environments
• Ability to read shipping schedules, freight quotes, and transportation documents
• Problem-solving skills and ability to handle shipment issues proactively

Work Environment

• Office and warehouse/manufacturing environment
• Frequent communication with carriers, drivers, warehouse personnel, and customers
• May occasionally assist with inspection of outbound shipments or packaging coordination
