Overview
The Animal Care Services Supervisor plays a crucial role in overseeing and enhancing all animal field service operations conducted by the animal control team. This position is responsible for managing investigations related to animal bites and cruelty, coordinating animal impoundments, and engaging in various fieldwork activities. Additionally, the supervisor provides training and support for staff members, ensuring that the team operates efficiently and effectively. The primary objective of this role is to guarantee the safe and responsible management of animal services, ultimately promoting the well-being of animals and the community.

· In the event of an emergency, employees are required to work to provide for the safety and well-being of the public, including the delivery and restoration of vital services.

Qualifications
· Associate’s degree (AA /AS)
· Three (3) years of experience
Licenses and Certifications
Required
· A valid driver's license is required; successful out-of-state candidates must be able to obtain a valid Texas driver's license within 90 days of hire
Required within six (6) months of hire
· LRCA certification
· Euthanasia certification
Required within eighteen (18) months of hire
· FEMA 700 & 800 certification
· Animal Care Officer Basic certification

Basis of Rating
A recruitment consultant will evaluate all applications against the posted qualifications and may request additional information. The city may also conduct additional skill assessment tests, in addition to the panel interview.
