Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Project Manager – Digital & E-Commerce to lead a high-visibility initiative focused on rebuilding and upgrading a custom-built technology solution around the Envision Pro platform. This platform supports digital and e-commerce capabilities including online ordering, client visibility, sponsorship inventory management, venue visualization, event administration, asset sharing, and revenue-generating event solutions.
This is a 3–6+ month contract opportunity with a strong potential to extend to additional projects. The project has an aggressive timeline and must be completed by the end of September, so the ideal candidate must be able to hit the ground running with minimal ramp-up time.
The successful candidate will be a sharp, polished, and well-spoken project leader with strong digital, e-commerce, custom development, SaaS, and technology implementation experience. This individual must also have hands-on experience using AI and AI-enabled tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar technologies to manage projects faster, improve efficiency, streamline communication, and support reporting and planning.
Platform Overview
The Envision Pro portal is used by show organizers, exhibitors, and sponsors to plan, manage, and sell event sponsorship and branding opportunities for trade shows and conferences.
The platform supports:
- Sponsorship inventory management, including banners, digital signage, networking events, hotel sponsorships, floor graphics, and advertising placements.
- Venue visualization and mapping, allowing users to virtually tour venues, view floor plans, and see where sponsorship assets are located.
- Revenue generation through online browsing, ordering, shopping cart functionality, and sponsorship purchases.
- Show administration, including role-based access for show admins and editors to manage availability, sold status, and sponsorship content.
- Document and asset sharing, including sponsorship prospectuses, floor plans, production information, and other event-related files.
- Online ordering and client-facing visibility into available sponsorship and branding opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the rebuilding and upgrading of a custom-built technology solution around the Envision Pro platform.
- Manage digital, e-commerce, custom development, SaaS, and out-of-the-box solution implementation efforts.
- Drive project planning, execution, tracking, reporting, and delivery against an aggressive end-of-September deadline.
- Partner with business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, implementation partners, and executive leadership to ensure project alignment and successful delivery.
- Facilitate project meetings, status updates, steering committee discussions, sprint ceremonies, and executive-level communications.
- Translate business needs into actionable project plans, workstreams, milestones, and technical delivery requirements.
- Coordinate with teams responsible for platform upgrades, online ordering, client visibility, sponsorship inventory, cart functionality, integrations, data, security, and reporting.
- Manage task tracking, risk management, issue resolution, release timelines, budget alignment, dependencies, and overall project delivery.
- Hold cross-functional teams accountable for deliverables, timelines, decisions, and project commitments.
- Provide timely follow-up on action items, risks, blockers, decisions, and escalations.
- Escalate risks, delays, resource constraints, and project blockers as needed to keep the project on track.
- Prepare executive-level status reports, presentations, dashboards, and project decks for leadership review.
- Support testing, deployment readiness, change management, adoption, and post-implementation activities.
- Use AI and AI-enabled tools to improve project management efficiency, including planning, documentation, meeting summaries, status reporting, risk tracking, communication, and workflow automation.
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of project management experience.
- Strong project management background in e-commerce, digital platforms, custom software development, and technology implementation.
- Experience managing custom development projects, SaaS implementations, and out-of-the-box technology solutions.
- Required experience using AI and AI-enabled tools such as Microsoft Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT, or similar technologies to improve project management efficiency, reporting, planning, communication, and delivery.
- Demonstrated ability to manage highly visible, time-sensitive technology projects with aggressive deadlines.
- Excellent leadership, communication, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Ability to work directly with executive leadership and present project status, risks, updates, decisions, and recommendations.
- Strong experience working with cross-functional business and technical teams.
- Ability to hold others accountable, follow up consistently, and escalate issues when needed.
- Experience with task management, risk management, release management, status reporting, budget tracking, timeline management, and executive presentations.
- Professional, polished, well-spoken, and able to quickly build credibility with stakeholders.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage competing priorities across multiple workstreams.
- Proficiency with project management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Microsoft Project, Smartsheet, Azure DevOps, Asana, Monday.com, Confluence, Microsoft Teams, or similar platforms.
Preferred Qualifications
- PMP certification preferred but not required.
- Experience supporting digital transformation, website modernization, platform upgrades, or e-commerce optimization projects.
- Experience with online ordering, cart functionality, payment workflows, sponsorship sales, revenue-generating portals, customer-facing digital platforms, or client visibility solutions.
- Experience working with vendors, implementation partners, internal development teams, and business stakeholders.
- Background in events, trade shows, sponsorship platforms, retail, distribution, professional services, or other transaction-based digital environments.
Pay: $65.00 - $80.00 per hour
