Atlanta based project management company seeking a detail oriented Financial Project Manager to support Project Mangers to ensure projects are completed within budget and on schedule.

The Opportunity

This role is built for someone early in their project management career who's eager to get their hands on real work. As a Financial Project Manager, you'll be embedded with experienced PMs and field leadership from day one - supporting active construction projects, sharpening your coordination skills, and developing the instincts that define great Financial Project Managers. Discretionary Annual Bonus paid based on employee and company performance.

Responsibilities

Financial Project Management

• Creating proposals, customer invoices and managing change orders to ensure compliance with revenue budget
• Creating and approving vendor purchase orders by comparing spend to cost budget
• Ensuring all billing and costs are assigned to proper task category
• Financial close out of 250+ projects annually to ensure all customer cash collected and all vendors paid
• Explaining favorable and unfavorable variances to budgets at project and portfolio level

Project Coordination

• Facilitating regular meetings with project stakeholders to provide updates and gather feedback.
• Track project milestones and deliverables to keep timelines and budgets on target
• Monitor project records including contracts, submittals, and change documentation

What You Bring

• 2+ Years of work experience required
• Normal Hours are 8:30AM EST to 5 PM EST with 45 minute lunch break
• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Project Management, Accounting or a related discipline (or equivalent hands-on experience)
• In Office 5 days per week
• Background in commercial construction or project coordination - any specialty exposure is a plus
• Intermediate Excel Skills (Pivot Tables/V Lookups/Sum Ifs etc.)
• Experience with construction management software is a bonus

Pay: $60,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
