We are seeking a friendly, organized, and detail-oriented Front Desk Receptionist to join our Physical Therapy team. As the first point of contact for patients, the receptionist plays a key role in delivering an excellent patient experience while ensuring the smooth operation of front office functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Greet patients warmly and check them in for appointments.
• Answer multi-line phone system; direct calls and take messages as needed.
• Schedule and confirm patient appointments using EMR software.
• Verify insurance eligibility and obtain necessary authorizations.
• Collect co-pays and other patient payments at time of service.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure confidentiality in accordance with HIPAA.
• Manage daily office tasks including faxing, scanning, filing, and email correspondence.
• Coordinate with physical therapists and support staff to maintain efficient patient flow.
• Handle patient inquiries and resolve scheduling conflicts or issues promptly.
• Maintain a clean and organized front desk and waiting area.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Prior experience in a medical office, dental or physical therapy setting preferred.
• Knowledge of EMR systems (e.g., WebPT) a plus.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
• Basic understanding of medical terminology and insurance processes.
• Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality in a busy healthcare environment.

Work Environment:

• Fast-paced outpatient physical therapy clinic.
• Involves sitting for long periods and some light lifting (e.g., patient charts or office supplies).

Job Type: Full-time

Base Pay: $22.00 - $23.00 per hour
