BOS-I Assistant / Journeyman Electrician

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled temporary part-time Assistant Site Manager / Journeyman Electrician to support range operations at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. This role is responsible for assisting in planning, coordinating, and executing all aspects of live-fire training support operations—specifically in support of Counter-Rocket, Artillery, and Mortar (C-RAM) systems or other SHORAD systems. The Assistant Site Manager ensures operational readiness, range safety, and compliance with DoD and MOSH standards while providing technical expertise in electrical systems and power generation.

Key Responsibilities

· Serve as the assistant site manager for live-fire operations, overseeing daily range activities.

· Perform diagnostics, preventive, and corrective maintenance on power generation systems.

· Installs, maintains, and repairs electrical power distribution, grounding, and lighting.

· Ensure full compliance with DoD safety regulations and MOSH standards.

· Maintain accountability of tools, materials, and assets.

· Support life-support systems and infrastructure essential for range operations.

· Track and report service delivery and maintenance.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

· Minimum: High School Diploma or GED.

· Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Logistics, Business Administration, Facilities Management, Engineering, or Operations Management.

· Acceptable Equivalent: 10+ years of military service in logistics, base support, facilities, or related fields.

· Experience:

o 10+ years of military and/or industry service.

o Working knowledge of base life support services in deployed or garrison environments.

Certifications & Skills:

· Licensed Journeyman Electrician, Army MOS 12R, or Navy Electrician’s Mate.

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

· Familiarity with Army/DoD logistics systems.

· Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.

Security Clearance:

· Clearance: Secret Clearance Preferred.

Preferred Experience

· Supporting U.S. military installation operations (CONUS or OCONUS).

· Working with military contractors, civil engineer units, or logistics teams.

· Installing power distribution systems and conducting generator maintenance.
