1st Shift Machine Operator

Hours:

Monday - Thursday 6am-3pm

Friday 6am to 10am

Starting Pay: $19.00/Hour

Job Function:

The Machine Operators role is to operate the pouch machine, guillotine or slitter/sheeter/rewinder from set up to completion of incoming orders per specifications. This role includes maintaining production as per job schedules, monitoring quality of finished product, record keeping for material tracking and inventory, loading, and unloading of incoming and finished product. This role also assists in additional requested duties as necessary.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

1. Machine Operator Responsibilities

• Set up machine(s) and run as per job specifications.
• Process recycled materials in balers.
• Follow production schedule.
• Staging production materials.
• Perform required maintenance on specified machinery.
• Ensure necessary paperwork is filled out for shipping

2. Other Duties

• Processing paperwork for finished jobs, shipping, and inventory.
• Set up label per job specifications.
• Certified forklift & electric pallet jack operator.
• Load/unload incoming and outgoing freight.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and location.
• Exemplify a commitment to service and quality to visitors & Anchor employees.
• Assist other departments with miscellaneous work, as requested.
• Maintain supply inventory levels.
• Other duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities:

• Display consistent courteous, professional manner with employees & visitors.
• Strong organizational skills to prioritize tasks & ensure timely completion.
• Proficient math and reading skills.
• Ability to read ruler out to 1/64”.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Internet functions.
• Strong ability to multi-task & to work with others.
• Excellent communication skills both internally as well as externally.
• General mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic knowledge.

Physical Requirements:

• Requires lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Requires a lot of walking in warehouse.
• Requires standing in one spot for long periods of time.
• Requires sitting in one spot for long periods of time.
• Must be able to meet the attendance requirements per the company policy.
