Are you passionate about helping students unlock the power of Math? At VERSE, we know that numeracy is just as vital as literacy—and yet, many students struggle with foundational math skills. Join VERSE as a Science of Math Tutor and make a lasting impact. Our team has supported students for over a decade, helping them overcome learning barriers and reach their academic goals.

We are now expanding our focus to include specialized math tutoring, particularly for students with dyscalculia, a learning difference that affects the ability to understand numbers and math concepts.

What We Offer

• Competitive Pay: $25–$35/hour depending on experience and a tutoring demonstration. Top pay can be achieved immediately.
• Flexible Scheduling: Set your own hours. Our current tutors work between 6 and 25 hours per week and serve up to 10 students each. (Part-time, flexible hours, day or evening shifts, Monday–Friday.)
• Impactful Work: Make a real difference in the lives of students who struggle with math, including those with dyscalculia and math-based learning difficulties.

General Requirements and Responsibilities

• A passion for education, numeracy, and learning differences
• Strong understanding of dyscalculia, including symptoms, instructional strategies, and intervention techniques
• Ability to work independently and manage your schedule
• Maintain consistent availability and punctuality
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Tech-savvy with the ability to use virtual teaching tools effectively
• Create individualized lesson plans and track student progress with data using our provided curriculum
• Build trusting relationships with students, parents, and peers
• Reliable internet connection
• Quiet, distraction-free home workspace
• Must complete a background check, child abuse registry check, and FBI fingerprinting (cost covered by VERSE)
• Must be eligible to work in the United States

Educational Requirements

• Preferred: Bachelor’s degree in Education, Math Education, Special Education, or a related field
• Preferred: Minimum 2 years of classroom, intervention, or tutoring experience—especially with students with learning differences
