Position Overview
Chandler Park Academy (CPA) is seeking a dedicated High School Math Teacher for immediate and 2026–27 openings. We are looking for fully certified educators who are passionate about helping adolescents master mathematics, build confidence in problem-solving, and develop skills that prepare them for high school and beyond. Ideal candidates range from recent graduates eager to begin their teaching careers to experienced teachers ready to deepen their impact in a collaborative school community.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver standards-aligned math lessons that emphasize conceptual understanding, critical thinking, and application.
• Differentiate instruction to support a wide range of learners, from those needing foundational support to students ready for enrichment
• Regularly assess student progress, provide timely feedback, and adjust instruction based on data
• Create a structured and supportive classroom that fosters active participation and respect.
• Collaborate with colleagues, support staff, and families to promote student success both academically and socially
• Participate in professional development and contribute to a culture of continuous growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Education or Mathematics (master’s degree preferred)
• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with a high-level Mathematics (EX) endorsement.
• Daily substitutes, or full-time substitute permits, are not eligible for this posting.
• Knowledge of adolescent developmental stages and effective instructional practices in math.
• Strong classroom management, organizational, and communication skills.
