POSITION SUMMARY:
The Controller is responsible for developing and implementing financial policies and procedures. The Controller oversees the day-to-day activities of the accounting team, including tracking and auditing financial information, analyzing financial records and transactions and managing the accounting team members. They make sure the entire accounting department remains productive and efficient by assigning tasks and reviewing team members’ performances.

REQUIREMENTS & PREFERENCES:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required or a combination of education and experience

• 5 + years of experience in a similar role

• CPA designation is strongly preferred

• Valid Government issued photo ID

• Ability to provide proof of graduation from an accredited school required

• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards

• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other financial software

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

• Strong attention to detail and accuracy

• Ability to work independently and meet tight deadlines

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills

• Proven ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Controller plays a pivotal role in the financial planning and decision-making processes of MCR Health. The Controller is responsible for developing and implementing financial policies and procedures, as well as managing the financial reporting and analysis functions of the organization’s future expenses through current and past financial data. The Controller also performs key leadership and advisory functions playing an active role providing financial guidance and support.

JOB ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

• Oversee all aspects of financial management, including financial reporting, budgeting, and forecasting

• Develop and implement internal control policies and procedures to ensure compliance with financial regulations

• Prepare monthly and annual financial statements and reports

• Manage the cash flow and treasury functions of the organization

• Monitor and analyze financial performance against budget and provide recommendations for improvement

• Collaborate with departmental managers to develop and monitor budgets and financial plans

• Conduct regular audits to ensure financial integrity and accuracy

• Supports the goals and mission of MCR Health

• Adheres to the safety policies and procedures of MCR Health

• Perform other duties as assigned
