Environmental Site Assessor / Project ManagerPosition Summary
CRB Geological & Environmental Services is seeking an experienced Environmental Site Assessor / Project Manager to support environmental due diligence projects throughout the United States. This position is responsible for managing environmental assessment projects from proposal through final report, conducting site investigations, evaluating environmental conditions, and delivering technically sound reports that help clients make informed decisions.
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience performing and managing Phase I Environmental Site Assessments, strong technical writing skills, and the ability to oversee multiple projects while maintaining quality, responsiveness, and schedule commitments. This role works closely with senior technical staff and clients to ensure deliverables meet ASTM standards and exceed client expectations.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Geology, Engineering, Environmental Studies, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience performing and managing environmental due diligence projects.
- Environmental Professional (EP) designation or ability to qualify under ASTM standards preferred.
- Working knowledge of ASTM E1527-21 and current industry standards for Phase I Environmental Site Assessments.
- Experience managing multiple assignments simultaneously while maintaining deadlines and budgets.
- Strong technical writing, organizational, and analytical skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Comfortable utilizing mobile technology, cloud-based platforms, and evolving software solutions.
Primary ResponsibilitiesEnvironmental Due Diligence
- Manage Phase I Environmental Site Assessment projects from proposal through final report.
- Perform site reconnaissance and field investigations.
- Identify and evaluate Recognized Environmental Conditions (RECs), Controlled RECs (CRECs), and Historical RECs (HRECs).
- Prepare ASTM E1527-21 compliant reports and supporting documentation.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, laboratories, and internal staff as required.
- Support Phase II Environmental Site Assessments and subsurface investigations.
- Evaluate environmental findings and assist with remedial recommendations when necessary.
- Review analytical data and communicate technical findings to clients.
- Participate in additional environmental projects including asbestos, indoor air quality, mold, and remediation-related assignments when needed.
- Ensure field activities and reports meet CRB quality standards and client requirements.
- Coordinate with senior staff and support personnel to ensure timely project completion.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and industry partners.

Pay: $80,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
