Diesel Mechanic/Machinery Moving - CDL Required – Tucson, Arizona
Location: Tucson, AZ | Pay: $27.00 – $36.00 / hour (DOE)
Job Type: Full-Time (Monday – Friday, plus overtime/on-call)
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic / Machinery Mover to join our team in Tucson. This is a critical role responsible for the inspection, diagnosis, repair, and maintenance of a diverse fleet, including mobile cranes, tractors, trailers and forklifts.
If you are a self-starter with a strong background in hydraulics and electrical systems and you hold a Class A CDL, we want to talk to you. While machinery moving and rigging experience is a plus, we are willing to provide specialized training for the right candidate.
Requirements:
- Crane, Forklift, Truck & Trailer Maintenance Experience Required
- A minimum 5 years’ experience in hydraulics and diagnostics
- Ability to read and understand operating manuals, parts manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Test mechanical, electronic, electrical, and hydraulic products and equipment after repair or modification to ensure proper operation and compliance with OEM specifications
- Maintain compliance to safety requirements, manufacturer procedures, and other regulations
- Complete required reports, time sheets, work orders, etc.
- Ability to accomplish tasks independently without direct supervision
- Truck, trailer, and forklift knowledge
- Commercial Driver’s License
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Available to work 40 hours a week or more, also weekends, after hours and be on-call as needed
- Ability to handle regular exposure to all weather conditions, including extreme heat, combined with regular work time indoors in environmentally controlled conditions
- Communicate clearly through stressful situations and demonstrate professional behavior in all situations
- Ability to travel with in the state or out of state at times
- Ability to multi-task and pay critical attention to details
- Possess exceptional organizational and time management skills
- Ability to take direction
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner within SWIR and customer
- Must have a Valid CDL and Clean driving record
Qualifications:
- Valid Commercial Driver's License-Class A
- Clean Driving Record
- Preferred with experience working on heavy equipment and crane equipment.
- Diesel engines; Cummins, CAT, Mercedes
- Diagnostics
- Hydraulics
- Ability to: Diagnose, adjust, and repair
- Ability to perform routine maintenance on tractors, trailers, forklifts, etc.
- Experience with air brake systems, a/c systems, hydraulics and electronics
- Candidate must pass a background check and drug test
