At Houston Methodist, the Mammography Technologist II position is an experienced Technologist who completes a variety of routine and specialized mammograms and completes quality controls as needed. This position is a member of the direct patient care team and is fully competent in all aspects of various mammography procedures. The Mammography Technologist II position serves as a mentor to Mammography Technologist I and students by utilizing skills and knowledge to help train and educate others. This position works independently by exercising sound judgment and executing above average clinical skills on challenging mammography procedures and patient care situations. The Mammography Technologist II position delivers exceptional patient care and adheres to mammography standards and guidelines established by governing agencies to ensure optimal patient safety and customer service. QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION

• Graduate of education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below in the Certifications, Licenses and Registrations section.

EXPERIENCE

• Three years’ experience as a Mammography Technologist

Required

• CMRT - Certified Medical Radiologic Technologist - State Licensure - Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation_PSV Registration as a Medical Radiologic Technologist (MRT-GC) and
• ARRT-R - Radiologic Technologist - Radiographer (ARRT) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologist_PSV and
• ARRT-M - Radiologic Technologist - Mammography (ARRT) - American Registry of Radiologic Technologist_PSV and
BLS - Basic Life Support or Instructor (AHA) - American Heart Association
