Job Summary
The Installer / Mover is responsible for performing daily installation, delivery, and service tasks to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to SFI’s quality and safety standards. Installers work closely with Lead Installers and Project Coordinators to complete every job successfully, representing SFI with professionalism and reliability at all times.
This role requires flexibility, physical stamina, and strong communication skills. The ideal candidate is dependable, punctual, and committed to teamwork and customer satisfaction.
What You’ll Do
- Receive, Deliver, assemble, install, and relocate commercial and institutional furniture.
- Load, secure, and transport furniture orders to job sites; complete installations according to manufacturer specifications and project documentation.
- Install all types of modular, free-standing, and panel systems furniture including placement, leveling, wipe-down, and quality inspection.
- Follow all SFI and jobsite safety procedures at all times.
- Communicate professionally with customers, general contractors, and SFI team members.
- Assist with receiving and unloading inbound shipments at the warehouse or onsite; operate pallet jacks and forklifts as needed.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and vehicles in safe working condition.
- Support special projects or other departments when needed.
Schedule and Availability
- Full-time position, Monday through Friday.
- Must have availability between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM (typical shifts are 8–10 hours within that window).
- Must be willing and able to travel overnight for projects (typically 2–4 hours away, up to 4 nights per week).
- All travel-related expenses are fully covered by SFI.
- Occasional evening or weekend work may be required with notice.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- 1–3 years of experience in furniture installation, moving, construction, manual labor, or related trades preferred.
- Valid driver’s license preferred but not required.
- Must have reliable transportation to get to our warehouse or assigned job sites.
- Must be physically fit and able to lift and carry 50–100 lbs regularly.
- Comfortable working in a variety of environments including construction sites and active commercial spaces.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
- Must demonstrate reliability, accountability, and professionalism.
