Experienced Journeyman Mold Repair Technician – Join our Tool Room Team

1st Shift - Mol-Son, Mattawan, Michigan

We’re looking for an experienced Journeyman Mold Repair Technician to join our Tool Room team. In this hands-on-role, you’ll build, repair, troubleshoot, and maintain precision injection molds that keep our manufacturing operation running safely, efficiently, and at the highest quality standards.

What you will do:

• · Troubleshoot, and maintain precision injection molds.
• · Perform preventative maintenance to maximize tooling and minimize downtime.
• · Diagnose tooling issues and recommend or implement repair solutions.
• · Read blueprints, CAD models, and engineering drawings to build and/or repair tooling to exact specifications.
• · Operate manual machining equipment and precision measuring instruments.
• · Perform other related duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge & Skills

• Ability to read blueprints, CAD models, and engineering drawings.
• Knowledge of injection molding process and tooling requirements.
• Strong mechanical aptitude with problem solving ability.
• Toolroom equipment experience and understanding of machining processes.
• Skilled in the use of handheld measurement tools.
• A team-oriented mindset with strong communication skills.
• High attention to detail and strong commitment to quality work.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively.
• Well-organized and self-motivated with the ability to manage tasks independently.

Education and Experience Requirements

• · Highschool diploma or equivalent
• · Journeyman Toolmaker or Tool and Diemaker
