POSITION SUMMARY:

We are seeking a reliable Overnight Diesel Mechanic (Grade B or C) to maintain and repair our fleet of refuse/garbage trucks. This is a full time overnight position with a typical schedule of 7PM - 3:30AM Sunday to Thursday. The Overnight Mechanic position is ideal for a hands-on mechanic who works well independently and takes pride in keeping equipment safe and road-ready.

The Overnight Diesel Mechanic is responsible to:

• Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on diesel refuse trucks
• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical and brake issues
• Conduct safety inspections and routine servicing
• Complete work orders and maintenance records accurately
• Respond to breakdowns and emergencies in the field as needed
• Ensure all work complies with safety and company standards

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Experience working on diesel trucks (refuse or heavy duty is preferred)
• Ability to work overnight
• Basic troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Punctual and reliable
• Experience in sanitation is preferred
• Effective verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently
• Valid Driver's License; CDL is a plus
• High School Diploma or GED
