The Career Services Advisor is responsible for planning, developing and administering career and employment assistance programs for students, graduates. The Career Services Advisor will build effective relationships with local and regional corporations, non-profit and government organizations and community partners to identify employment opportunities. This position will be instrumental in developing relationships within aviation and business industries to promote and expand our programs and initiatives.

• Build productive employer relationships and attract more companies to source Academy College students and alumni for full-time employment.
• Collaborate with office staff and education coordinators in the creation and implementation of employer relations programming including: networking nights, employer site visits, and on-campus recruiting.
• Partner with education coordinators to place current and alumni students in jobs.
• Verify graduate employment in accordance with the current regulations, conduct graduate/employer surveys, and maintain all career services documentation.
• Participate in community activities through local chambers of commerce, work groups, and leadership activities to expand the number, quality and diversity of professional opportunities available
• Create and run monthly student workshops
• Other duties as directed.

Business Development responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Identify and target potential partnerships in the community as well as nationally.
• Develop and implement strategies to promote programs to new and current community partners.
• Build and nurture long-term relationships with industry partners.
• Attend industry events and conferences to promote the program and network with potential partners.
• Monitor industry trends and competitor activities to inform strategy adjustments.
• Achieve sales targets and contribute to the overall growth of the programs.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years experience in recruiting, career services and employment assistance, or in sales.
• Strong oral and written skills required.
• Excellent interpersonal, influencing, and presentation skills required.
• Proven track record of project completions, multi-tasking, and the ability to handle a high pressure environment with significant timeline pressures.
• History of developing constructive and cooperative working relationships with others and maintaining them over time.
