Job summary

Responsible for preventive and predicative maintenance of ammonia refrigeration system, troubleshooting and repair of refrigeration equipment, and also to monitor perform tasks required in PSM (Process Safety Management) system.

Summary of essential job functions

• Perform preventative and predictive maintenance on refrigeration machinery.
• Troubleshoot and repair refrigeration machinery.
• Program PLC's.
• Monitor and perform tasks for PSM Program (Stellar Interactive).
• Complete daily maintenance and repair logs.
• Communicate with operators from other shifts.
• Maintain and secure work tools.
• Clean and maintain work area.
• Turn off and lock out equipment when not in use.
• Other duties as assigned.

Additional Responsibilities

• Provide on-the-job training to new employees.

Knowledge and Skill Requirements

• Basic reading, writing, and arithmetic skills required. This is normally acquired through a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• CPR training (beneficial but not required)
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
• Forklift Certification ( beneficial but not requiered)
• Op1 GCAP certification or equivalent.
• Manual dexterity required for operating machinery and computers.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds consistently required, up to 70lbs.

Working Conditions

Working conditions are normal for a manufacturing environment. Work may involve lifting of materials and product up to 50 pounds. Extremely cold and extremely hot. Working in this environment requires the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to; steel-toed work boots, hardhats, hairnets, beard nets (if applicable), respirator (if required) and flame retardant clothing (if applicable). Cell phones and jewelry are not permitted on the factory floor.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $26.80 - $36.00 per hour
