We provide outpatient psychotherapy services to individuals, couples, and families of all ages and demographics.

Position Highlights

Flexible Work Options

• Choose a hybrid schedule blending in-person and telehealth sessions.
• In-person services are provided at one of our five beautiful locations in Gorham, Scarborough, Falmouth, or South Portland.

Empowered Scheduling

• We collaborate with you to create a schedule that aligns with your personal and professional goals.
• Preferred Client Hours:
• Weekdays: 10 AM–6 PM or 11 AM–7 PM
• Weekends: 9 AM–5 PM
• New hires may have one remote telehealth day per week, based on client needs.

Billable Hours Requirement

• A minimum of 20 billable hours per week is required.

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive Pay

• Starting at $55–$60 per billable hour, based on licensure (conditional or full).
• This is an hourly fee-for-service position.

Annual Pay Increases

• Receive a $5/hour raise each year, with rates reaching $70/hour at your two-year anniversary.

Weekend Income Boost

• $20/hour bonus for in-office weekend sessions
• Start at $75/hour with a conditional license
• $80/hour for fully licensed clinicians

Clinical Supervision & Professional Development

At The Family Center of Maine, we are committed to fostering your clinical growth and supporting your path toward licensure and beyond.

Supervision

• Weekly Individual Supervision: One-on-one sessions tailored to your clinical needs, providing guidance on complex cases, ethical considerations, and best practices.
• Group Supervision: Weekly sessions with fellow clinicians to discuss diverse cases, share strategies, and receive feedback in a collaborative environment.

(Supervision is provided at no cost and meets Maine licensure requirements.)

Ongoing Training & Continuing Education

• Training Reimbursement: Support for approved training programs and continuing education courses.
• In-House Workshops: Specialized training on evidence-based practices, therapeutic modalities, and current mental health topics.
• Clinical Growth Opportunities: Work with diverse client populations to refine your clinical skills.

As part of your professional development, there is an opportunity to join our supervisory team and help guide the next generation of clinicians.

At The Family Center of Maine, we understand the administrative side of practice can be overwhelming. That’s why we have a dedicated, professional admin team that handles everything so you can focus on providing care to your clients.

Billing & Insurance

• Our experienced admin team takes care of billing and insurance processing, ensuring that claims are submitted accurately and on time.
• We handle appointment reminders, rescheduling, and cancellations, ensuring that your schedule stays organized and that your time is maximized.
• No need to spend time on the phone—we take care of the logistics, allowing you to focus on your clients.

Insurance Networks

• We are in-network with Anthem, United Healthcare, Harvard Pilgrim, Aetna, Community Health Options, and Martin’s Point, ensuring broad accessibility for clients.

Qualifications

Applicants must hold a master's-level clinical license, such as:
