Job Title: Project Manager / Inside Technical Sales Representative

Job Summary:

Tricor Metals is looking for an experienced, entrepreneurial spirited and highly motivated Project Manager / Inside Sales Representative to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in reviewing customer design specifications, preparing cost estimates and proposals for heat exchangers, pressure vessels, columns, piping, and other build-to-print fabrications using titanium, zirconium, tantalum, high nickel alloys and stainless steels as well as the coordination of equipment repairs and field service. This role also involves collaborating directly with customers to develop equipment costs, ensuring seamless order entry into ERP systems, and serving as the primary customer contact for technical and commercial details throughout the project duration.

Up to 20% business travel required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review customer design specifications and complete detailed cost estimates and proposals for custom-built fabrications including heat exchangers, pressure vessels, columns, and piping.
• Evaluating equipment failures, estimating costs associated with repairs, planning and facilitating repairs in the shop and in the field. Communicating status updates to the customer. Provide clear updates from the job site, documents of work performed, and ensures repairs meets customer requirements and standards. Supports customers by resolving issues promptly and coordinating with internal teams to keep equipment repairs on schedule.
• Work with material suppliers to find prices that meet customers’ technical specifications and delivery requirements.
• Collaborate with customers to develop accurate equipment costs.
• Manage the entry of customer orders into ERP systems while maintaining data integrity and accuracy.
• Act as the primary customer contact, addressing technical and commercial questions during the project lifecycle.
• Ensure projects adhere to technical and commercial requirements while meeting delivery timelines.
• Manage the projects won to meet or exceed the technical design requirements and scheduled delivery timelines.

Skills Required:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Project, and Word.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a customer-focused mindset.

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Chemical Engineering is preferred.

Work Experience:

• A minimum of 3 years of experience in technical sales, including equipment estimating, is preferred.
• Familiarity with chemical process equipment design per ASME Section VIII Division 1 and Division 2 is a plus.
