Duties

• Prepare ingredients and assist in food assembly according to menu specifications, ensuring consistency and quality.
• Support the kitchen team with meal preparation, including chopping, portioning, and basic cooking tasks.
• Maintain cleanliness of dishes, utensils, and workstations by washing and sanitizing in accordance with food safety standards.
• Assist with food handling procedures to ensure proper storage, labeling, and rotation of ingredients.
• Support catering events and special functions by helping with setup, serving, and cleanup processes.
• Follow all safety protocols related to knife skills, food handling, and sanitation to uphold health standards.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient kitchen operations and timely service delivery.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a restaurant or food industry setting is preferred but not required; enthusiasm for learning is key!
• Knowledge of dietary department practices or dietary aide experience is a plus.
• Familiarity with menu planning, food preparation techniques, and cooking methods enhances your candidacy.
• Strong knife skills and experience in meal preparation are highly desirable.
• Understanding of food safety regulations and proper food handling procedures is essential.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
• Excellent teamwork skills with a positive attitude toward supporting kitchen operations and serving customers.
• Food Safety Certification.
