About the Project
We are building a custom ERP system in house, using Blazor Server and .NET with a SQL Server backend, to run our warehouse and shop floor operations. It tracks inventory, manages transfers between locations, and handles receiving, with permissions managed through Microsoft Entra ID. The system is currently in development, and we are continuing to build it out as we digitize more of the operation.
The Companion Android App:
Alongside the web app, we have been building an Android app that will run on company owned rugged handheld scanners on the shop floor, so staff can scan barcodes and manage inventory without walking back to a computer. The current app has been proof of concept. It has shown the workflow works, but it was not built with long term maintainability in mind, and we are not looking to keep building on top of it as is. We are starting fresh with a properly built version.
To support this, we have exposed a set of API endpoints from the ERP system, including:
Authentication is handled through Microsoft Entra ID, matching the security model of the web app.
Role Overview:
We are looking for an Android developer to design and build a new version of this app from the ground up, and to maintain and grow it over time. You will work closely with our existing development team, building against API endpoints we expose from the ERP system as new features are rolled out.
