Valley View Casino & Hotel is hiring an experienced Network Engineer to join our Information Technology team. We are looking for a strong team player with excellent communication skills, sound technical judgment, and the ability to support a secure, reliable, and high-performing enterprise network environment.
This is an onsite position supporting both casino gaming and hotel operations. The ideal candidate is collaborative, detail-oriented, security-minded, and comfortable balancing proactive network design with hands-on troubleshooting and incident response.
About the Position
The Network Engineer is responsible for the secure design, configuration, routing, and ongoing management of Valley View Casino & Hotel’s enterprise network infrastructure. This position manages networking and security technologies across multiple domains and works independently while collaborating closely with cybersecurity, IT, vendors, service providers, and department leadership.
This role requires technical expertise, initiative, creativity, excellent judgment, and the ability to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical Team Members.

What You’ll Do
- Design, configure, maintain, and optimize enterprise networking platforms.
- Administer secure access solutions, network access controls, and policy enforcement.
- Manage secure remote access technologies and endpoint connectivity.
- Configure and maintain next-generation firewalls and access control policies.
- Support network security and regulatory compliance through patch management, firewall policy updates, access control, and threat monitoring.
- Install, manage, and maintain network servers, firewalls, workstations, switches, and related equipment.
- Monitor LAN/WAN performance and security using enterprise monitoring tools.
- Perform advanced troubleshooting using packet capture and traffic analysis tools.
- Provide incident response and root cause analysis for critical network and security issues.
- Monitor system performance and assist with backup and recovery efforts.
- Support systems integration, identity management, virtualization platforms, and network-dependent applications and services.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity and IT teams to maintain highly available, secure, and compliant infrastructure.
- Support business continuity and disaster recovery planning.
- Maintain cabling and labeling standards across data centers.
- Perform regular audits of racks and infrastructure.
- Identify and retire deprecated or unsupported hardware.
- Develop and maintain physical, logical, and rack diagrams.
- Document changes, updates, and configurations consistently and accurately.
- Partner with vendors and service providers for escalations, upgrades, and issue resolution.
- Mentor junior IT staff and provide subject matter expertise in network technologies.
- Provide input, suggestions, and recommendations for department operations and guest service.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Required Qualifications
- Must be at least 21 years of age.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and four years of Information Systems experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Strong knowledge of systems and security engineering.
- Thorough knowledge of enterprise networking platforms and monitoring tools used in large-scale environments.
- Strong understanding of network protocols and routing/switching technologies, including BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, VLANs, and QoS.
- Proficiency in patch management for firewalls, switches, and network appliances.
- Experience conducting packet capture and traffic analysis.
- Ability to maintain meticulous cabling and labeling standards across data centers.
- Experience managing hardware lifecycle, including identifying and retiring deprecated equipment.
- Ability to work effectively with vendors and service providers for escalations, upgrades, and troubleshooting.
- Ability to manage digital certificates for firewalls and other network devices.
- Strong organizational and analytical skills.

- Must be able to successfully pass applicable auditions or skill testing and a drug screening test.
- May be required to carry a company-provided cell phone to receive and respond to work-related calls.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Information Systems experience in a casino environment.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge in related technology.
- Professional certifications such as Cisco CCNA, CCNP, or CCIE; CompTIA Network+; Microsoft; or VMware.
- Experience with disaster recovery planning, capacity modeling, and lifecycle management for network hardware and infrastructure.
- Experience working with an external penetration test team.
Physical Requirements
This position may require standing, walking, sitting, reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, talking, hearing, and using hands to handle or feel equipment.
The Team Member must frequently lift and/or move 50 pounds up to 100 pounds.
Clear vision, including close, distance, peripheral, and depth perception, is required to perform essential job functions.
Work Environment
This is an onsite position at Valley View Casino & Hotel.
The casino is open 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Candidates must be flexible to work any and all shifts as needed.
This position may include exposure to secondhand tobacco smoke, moving mechanical parts, risk of radiation from computers, fumes or airborne particles, changing temperatures, wet or humid conditions, and moderate to loud noise levels when on the casino floor.
Pay: $88,000.00 - $96,800.00 per year
