We are expanding aggressively into the San Francisco market and are seeking a Business Development Representative with a hunter mindset to identify and close new business opportunities in the Monterey Bay/Coastal Region.
About the Role:
This is a high-impact, field-based sales role focused on new customer acquisition and territory growth. Based out of our Morgan Hill HQ, you’ll spend minimum 4 days per week in the field across Monterey Bay/Coastal Region, targeting restaurants, retailers, and wholesalers.
This is a performance-oriented role with uncapped commission potential and strong growth opportunities for driven professionals.
Responsibilities:
- Identify, research, and cold-contact new business prospects in the Monterey Bay/Coastal Region
- Build and manage robust sales pipeline using CRM tools
- Develop and execute territory growth strategies in coordination with sales leadership
- Conduct in-person visits to pitch products, close deals, and onboard new clients
- Meet or exceed key sales KPIs, including weekly outreach, pipeline volume, and revenue targets
- Report regularly on territory activity, wins, and performance metrics
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure smooth onboarding and service delivery for new accounts
Qualifications and Experience:
- A hunter-style sales professional with a passion for closing new business
- A self-starter who thrives on autonomy, fieldwork, and beating goals
- 2–5 years of sales or business development experience preferred (food/seafood industry a plus, not required)
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
- Organized and metrics-driven, with experience managing a sales funnel
- Tech-savvy and comfortable using CRM and reporting tools
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
