Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Phlebotomy Technician Instructor to join our educational team. Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging classroom and clinical instruction on phlebotomy techniques, patient care, anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
• Design and update curriculum materials utilizing learning management systems (LMS) such as Blackboard or similar platforms to enhance student learning experiences.
• Supervise students during practical laboratory sessions, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices in specimen collection.
• Assess student performance through examinations, practical evaluations, and documentation review to ensure competency in phlebotomy procedures.
• Provide mentorship and constructive feedback to support adult learners and students with diverse educational backgrounds.
• Collaborate with clinical sites to coordinate hands-on training opportunities in hospital, outpatient, or veterinary settings involving critical care, pediatrics, or animal physiology.
• Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and competency assessments in compliance with accreditation standards.
• Stay current with advancements in clinical research, laboratory techniques, public health protocols, and veterinary terminology to continuously improve instructional content.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in phlebotomy or related clinical laboratory roles with a strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy, physiology, and patient care procedures.
• Prior teaching experience at the higher education level or adult education programs is highly desirable.
• Supervising experience in clinical or laboratory environments that involve laboratory experience, documentation review, or hospital settings.
• Familiarity with learning technology platforms such as LMS (Learning Management System), Blackboard, or similar tools for curriculum delivery.
• Knowledge of clinical trials, research methodologies, and public health principles relevant to healthcare training programs.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to instruct diverse student populations effectively.
• Ability to develop curriculum content that integrates veterinary terminology, animal physiology, nursing concepts, and acute care practices when applicable.
• Experience working with students in classroom settings or clinical environments involving pediatric or critical care scenarios is a plus.
