The Clinical Coordinator is a full-time, salaried position. Clinical Coordinators use their clinical experience and expertise to inform evaluation, case management, coaching, and advocacy decisions for program participants. The ideal candidate is licensed at the Masters level in a relevant mental health field and has experience in various clinical settings, with significant experience working with substance use disorders, as this is a key component of the role. Experience working with co-occurring conditions, as well as familiarity with recovery-oriented and monitoring-based care, is strongly preferred

Position Duties and Responsibilities

I. Referral and Intake

Receives initial referral information, collects necessary collateral information, and conducts biopsychosocial assessments with brief cognitive screen. Provides communication to key stakeholders in a timely manner. Provides recommendations including need for cease practice (when indicated), additional evaluation, or resolution and clearance to return to work.

II. Healthcare Monitoring

Meets with participants to ensure their health is in good standing. Collaborates and works closely with providers as needed. Provides coaching and support to participants to facilitate ongoing illness remission and successful completion of the program.

Communicates with stakeholders such as employers, treating providers, insurance companies, credentialing bodies, and disciplinary boards when applicable.

Prepared to assist with the management of participants in crisis, involving WPHP supervisor and participant's care providers, when indicated.

III. General Organizational Duties

Participates in organizational efforts for enhancing diversity, equity, and inclusion. Attends and participates in Annual Reunion with staff, alumni and current participants.

Understands and follows applicable state and federal laws, as well as WPHP policies, regarding confidentiality and protected health care information.

Engages in quality assurance and other special projects as needed.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:

• Master's degree (or higher)
• Licensed in Washington as Associate or Licensed Mental Health Counselor, Marriage and Family Therapist, Social Worker, or Clinical Psychologist
• Substance Use Disorder Professional or Substance Use Disorder Professional Trainee
• Minimum of five years of clinical experience
• Expertise with co-occurring disorders
• Familiar with Quality Assurance processes
• Thorough knowledge of Federal and State statutes regarding confidentiality
• Knowledge about family systems and impact on health
• Demonstrated effective interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a clinical team
• Must be of the conviction that substance use disorders are treatable primary disease and be amenable to working in an abstinence-based program philosophy
• Knowledge of 12-Step Programs
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Proficient in Windows and Microsoft Office Suite products (Teams, Outlook, etc.)
• Ability to learn new technological platforms (Zoom, KIPU, Salesforce, DocuSign)

REMOTE WORK:
