We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Associate Director of Youth Ministry and Adult Formation to lead and inspire faith development within our parish. This vital role combines strategic leadership with hands-on engagement. You will collaborate with our Evangelization team to create meaningful programs that nurture faith, promote community involvement, and support the spiritual journey of individuals at every stage of life. Essential Job Duties:
● Assists the Director in implementing the Youth Discipleship program and mission of the parish.
● Collaborate with the Director regarding curriculum and at home assignments for grades 6-9.
● Directs the Youth Sacramental Preparation program for Confirmation ensuring follow through of the sacrament.
● Ensure formation and sacramental preparation programs and events adhere to Diocesan policies and guidelines.
● Ensures that adequate documentation is received and recorded regarding sacramental programs.
● Plans for and implements programs in support of teen discipleship (examples: Love Begins Here, Totus Tuus, Frassati Fest, Steubenville, retreats, social events, community service opportunities, recreational, etc.)
● Collaborate with the Evangelization team to propose and potentially plan programs and activities for young adults (ages 18-35) that foster spiritual formation. This includes, but is not limited to talks, retreats, religious education, social events, recreation, community service outreach and liturgical celebrations.
● Develop, schedule, and lead approved adult faith formation events including such activities as giving talks, bringing in an approved speaker(s), small group meetings on the Catechism, etc.
● Maintains a level of knowledge and skills required for this ministry through regular updating, reading appropriate materials and participation at workshops and conventions. Participates in local, regional and national professional organizations as approved and as appropriate.
● Ability to step in for the Director, as needed given logistics of our Parish.
Preferred Education & Experience:
● Associate degree or equivalent experience
Required Competencies:
● Must have spiritual maturity, defined as practicing Catholic in good standing with the Catholic Church, consistent in one’s prayer life, regularly receiving the sacraments, and able to speak of one’s relationship with Jesus.
● Demonstrated understanding, respect and support of the Catholic Church’s teaching, mission and values.
● Demonstrated ability to set priorities and organize work effectively and efficiently, including developing and maintaining effective recordkeeping systems.

● Must be a person of faith, committed to the values of the Gospel, who provides sound leadership and responsible management of their duties.

Normal Work Days & Hours (36-40 hours):
Flexible. Some evenings and weekends may be required. Maintain at least 24 “office hours” each week during the school year (September – May), and at least 16 “office hours” during the summer (June – August).
Travel Requirements:
● Yes, as needed to other sites within our parish.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $48,000.00 per year
