Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Process Engineer to join our innovative engineering team. Responsibilities

• Identify inefficient processes and opportunities to improve the manufacturing process and reduce costs.
• Lead process mapping, Continuous Improvement initiatives, and Kaizen events by engaging the appropriate cross-functional personnel.
• Analyze process performance using data, Root Cause Analysis, and ERP capabilities to develop, implement, and sustain improved manufacturing processes.
• Develop and communicate new processes and coordinate training to ensure employee understanding and compliance with revised procedures.
• Develop and maintain standard operating procedures, forms, and work instructions while clearly defining process ownership and accountability for monitoring performance and implementing corrective actions.
• Define material specifications, equipment requirements, Bills of Materials (BOMs), and material quantities to support efficient manufacturing operations.
• Monitor consumable material usage and identify opportunities to reduce waste, improve efficiency, and lower manufacturing costs.
• Maintain engineering documentation, including drawings, manuals, revision history, engineering changes, and related technical records.
• Perform process capability studies to evaluate manufacturing performance and identify constraints related to equipment, labor, and technology.
• Design manufacturing layouts considering utilities, equipment placement, material flow, ergonomics, and facility infrastructure to improve productivity, maintainability, and future expansion.
• Perform Make-or-Buy analyses to support sourcing decisions for tooling, equipment, manufacturing processes, and maintenance services.
• Collaborate with customers to identify technical requirements, manufacturing constraints, and opportunities for process improvements and business growth.
• Partner with the Quality Department to analyze nonconformities, scrap, customer complaints, and process performance data, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Conduct risk assessments, identify process risks, determine root causes, and implement effective countermeasures.
• Develop and monitor key manufacturing performance indicators (KPIs), including OEE, First Pass Yield (FPY), scrap, cycle time, labor efficiency, and machine utilization, and lead improvement initiatives based on performance trends.

Experience

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in Process Engineering or a related manufacturing engineering role.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment; automotive manufacturing experience preferred.
• Proficient in Root Cause Analysis, Statistical Process Control (SPC), Process Mapping, Kaizen, and Continuous Improvement methodologies.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and/or SolidWorks for manufacturing layouts, tooling, and equipment design.
• Working knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System requirements.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
• Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing certification (preferred)
• Excellent problem-solving skills with an analytical mindset to evaluate complex systems and implement effective solutions.
• Effective communication skills for collaborating across multidisciplinary teams and documenting technical processes.
