The candidate will have experience with municipal transportation projects and understands how roadway, intersection, pedestrian, and other transportation improvements move from concept to construction. You should be comfortable developing designs, preparing construction documents, coordinating with other disciplines, and working through the details that make projects successful.
In this role, you'll support and lead portions of transportation projects, assist with project coordination, and collaborate with municipalities, agencies, and internal teams to develop practical, cost-effective solutions. You'll contribute to roadway design, plan production, permitting efforts, and construction support while ensuring quality and attention to detail throughout the project lifecycle.
We're looking for someone who is organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple priorities. Strong candidates bring transportation design experience, knowledge of industry standards and municipal requirements, proficiency with tools such as Civil 3D, OpenRoads, or MicroStation, and a desire to grow into greater project and client responsibilities over time.
Position Summary:
The Project Engineer will be responsible for design on multiple projects, directing and/or leading other design professionals within their discipline, and working with other design disciplines internal and external to PEC to develop engineering solutions for PEC’s Clients. This position will be responsible for providing design deliverables for a variety of projects, while maintaining PEC’s standard of excellence. This position utilizes BIM/CAD software, hand calculations, and computer-based calculations.
