Job Title: Intern Program Assistant
Reports to: Intern Engagement and Team Support Coordinator
Classification: Hourly Full-Time (Non-Exempt)

AIMS is a non-profit organization that supports playful, imaginative, creative, human-centered, and socially-informed approaches to teaching and learning mathematics and science, and policies and practices that are culturally-relevant and transformative for our Central Valley. With over 30 years of experience in PK-12 STEAM education, AIMS helps educators design rich and engaging learning environments, provides resources to communities and families, and bridges research and practice with community events and research fellowships.
Position Summary
The Intern Program Assistant works under the direction of the Intern Engagement and Team Support Coordinator to support AIMS internships, programs, and events. This role assists with intern schedules, assignments, and communication while supporting the planning and execution of educational, community, and organizational events. Using tools such as Monday.com and Google Workspace, the Assistant helps organize workflows, assists with materials, and helps ensure tasks are completed accurately and on time.

While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, and use hands for clerical duties and keyboarding. The employee is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, stoop, and kneel. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Sufficient hearing and visual acuity are required for telephone and in-person communication, computer work, and reading printed materials.
