What You’ll Do
We’re looking for a Mechanical Estimator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys both technical detail and creative problem-solving. You’ll support our sales and project teams by providing accurate estimates, AutoCAD drawings, and engineering support to help deliver exceptional projects from start to finish. You MUST hold a Mechanical Engineering Degree.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed AutoCAD drawings for mechanical system installations.
- Prepare comprehensive cost estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractors.
- Review plans and specifications to determine accurate scope of work.
- Perform material take-offs and adjust labor factors for project complexity.
- Collaborate with project teams to lead bidding processes and ensure team alignment.
- Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing.
- Develop value engineering and energy efficiency options for cost-effective solutions.
- Support project kickoff meetings, field coordination, and technical troubleshooting.
- Review and approve change orders, invoices, and close-out documentation.
- Assist the Sales Manager and field teams with project execution as needed.
What You’ll Bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
- Experience with commercial or residential MEP estimating.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and Microsoft Office.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, HVAC, and construction codes.
- Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for site visits.
