Confluence Philanthropy’s Program Manageroccupies a core team position with significant program and event management responsibility. We are recruiting a dynamic, process-minded, and detail-oriented ‘servant-leader’ motivated by the idea of generating cutting-edge industry convenings.

The ProgramManager will work with the Program Team to create content in themes related to sustainability, equity, and investment practice. We are looking for an ambitious early-stage professional who will take charge of this position, growing into an integral member of our team. This position offers internal advancement to programmatic leadership roles for the successful hire.

Reports to: Senior Program Manager with oversight byVice President of Programs

Compensation: Full-time with a $70,000 – $80,000 salary, plus highly competitive benefits

Hybrid Location: New York City (mid-town) Office – required minimum 4 days per week in office. Eligible candidates must legally reside in New York.

Primary Responsibilities

• Event Management: Assist with program planning and execution of online and in-person educational events. Tasks include group call scheduling, supporting the content creation process (i.e. speaker coordination, note-taking, general admin support), running zoom meeting tech, researching event venues, compiling event materials, and post-meeting follow-up. This position is required to attend in person events as requested.
• Content Generation: Curate news articles and draft news digests for review by the Communications Director; track member engagement across social media platforms; conduct content research as requested by the VPP.
• Special Projects: Follow trends and breakthroughs in the investment industry and keep the Confluence team updated; assist Program Team with thematic research, industry trends, and landscape assessments, as needed.
• Administrative Support: Support the Program Team in conference coordination for sessions and field trips. Tasks include coordinating speakers, preparing materials, and assisting with pre-conference and day-of logistics.
• Other duties as assigned. .

Qualifications

• Two or more years of experience in project management and/or operational support, preferably at a smaller organization.
• Must have previous experience in coordinating business and/or philanthropy meetings.
• 4-year college degree in related field - Bachelor's degree required, masters preferred.
• Strong professional written skills required.
• Skills in Salesforce, MailChimp, Squarespace, Office 365 a plus.
• Meticulous about details, communication, and follow up.
• Ability to manage up, supporting supervisors as requested and anticipating needs.
• Quick to learn business systems and confident with excel and CMS.
• Demonstrate discretion and the ability to maintain confidential/sensitive information.
• Experience working effectively in a small team in a ‘roll up the sleeves’ environment.
• Ability to perform under pressure, with patience and a sense of humor.
• Conference support/management experience, highly prized
