The Project:
The operator of a major international airport is considering a further update to expand the main terminal, reconfigure concourses and phase out legacy passenger transport systems.
Shared with airline stakeholders earlier this year, the proposed programme is estimated at c.$22 billion, with completion targeted in the mid-2030s, forming part of a wider transformation to support significant long-term passenger growth.
By comparison, the existing master plan approved in 2025 outlined c.$7 billion of phased capital investment, aligned to projections of up to 90 million annual passengers by the end of the century.
The role: The Project Executive is responsible for providing senior leadership, strategic direction, and assurance across complex infrastructure or multidisciplinary programmes. The role oversees delivery performance, governance, commercial outcomes, and stakeholder relationships to ensure successful programme execution.

You’ll Be Responsible For:
Provide overall leadership and strategic direction for programme delivery.
Establish and maintain governance frameworks, including reporting, approvals, and decision-making structures.
Oversee performance across scope, schedule, cost, risk, and quality.
Provide executive-level assurance and oversight of programme activities.
Support development and implementation of delivery strategies and programme plans.
Manage relationships with senior stakeholders, including executive leadership and governance bodies.
Lead governance forums, steering committees, and executive briefings.
Ensure integration across programme functions, including project management, controls, commercial, and stakeholder engagement.
Identify and manage strategic risks and issues, ensuring appropriate escalation and resolution.
Support continuous improvement and optimisation of delivery performance.
You’ll need to have:
Demonstrated experience in senior programme or project leadership roles on major infrastructure or capital programmes.
Strong understanding of governance, assurance, and programme delivery frameworks.
Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
Experience providing strategic advisory services to senior clients or public-sector organisations.
Strong commercial awareness and understanding of delivery risk.
Exceptional leadership and stakeholder management capability.
Experience overseeing integrated programme controls (cost, schedule, risk, and performance).
Ability to interpret complex programme data and provide executive-level insights.
Strong strategic acumen and negotiation skills.
Excellent stakeholder and supplier management capability.
Strategic and solutions-oriented mindset.
Experience working within complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
Note: The estimated starting salary for this position is $250k. Starting salary may vary based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as experience, skills and qualifications.
