About the Job:

We are seeking a Project Manager with injection mold design experience and the ability to learn/grow the individual’s project management skills and overall injection molding process. The ideal candidate is self-driven and works independently with meticulous attention to detail. Candidate will be responsible for all aspects of leading the project including direct contact with the customer. This is a permanent, full-time position, offering a competitive pay and benefits package.

Duties:

• Responsible for program management of all new molds or major engineering changes
• Quote preparation, feasibility review, molding concepts, mold design, construction supervision and final mold sampling.
• Customer interface at project launch and concludes with PPAP sample submission process.
• Research and define customer requirements.
• Lead part award and APQP meetings
• Make recommendations to customers to enhance meeting customer requirements.
• Schedule and track projects with appropriate customer reports.
• Maintain tool drawing files.
• Project scheduling, tracking, and customer progress reports.
• Develop with Quality Control, prototype, pre-launch, and production Control Plans.
• Ability to review part designs for Design for Manufacturability and mold design concerns
• Issue P.O. for mold construction after approval of project time and events schedule
• Track and report project progress to all concerned, especially the customer.
• Schedule and participate in all new mold samplings. Initiate corrective action to meet project schedule.
• Develops, validates, submits, and approves PPAP submissions.
• Provide training to ensure all project team members understand the customer requirements.

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience in an injection molding environment
• Background in mold design using SolidWorks or other CAD software
• Experience with close tolerance, multiple cavity molds including hot runner molds
• Excellent communication, problem solving, and organizational skills
• Understanding of PPAP process and quality standards
• Strong blue print reading skills with good understanding of GD&T

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $95,000.00 - $130,000.00 per year
