Duties

• Collaborate closely with clients to understand their vision, needs, and preferences for outdoor living spaces.
• Develop detailed design concepts using CAD software such as SketchUp, AutoCAD, Rhinoceros 3D, and Revit, incorporating hardscape elements, landscaping, irrigation, and sustainable features.
• Create compelling renderings and hand-drawn illustrations to communicate design ideas effectively.
• Prepare comprehensive construction documentation and project proposals that include cost estimates and timelines.
• Present design solutions confidently to clients, explaining technical details and benefits clearly while ensuring their expectations are met or exceeded.
• Manage project development from initial concept through construction documentation, coordinating with contractors, landscape architects, civil engineers, and surveyors.
• Utilize GIS tools like ArcView and ArcGIS for site analysis and land surveying data integration to optimize landscape planning.
• Conduct site visits for land surveying, soil analysis, horticulture assessments, and landscape maintenance evaluations to inform design decisions.
• Stay current with industry trends in sustainable design practices and innovative landscape architecture techniques to deliver cutting-edge outdoor solutions.

Requirements

• Proven experience in landscape architecture or landscape design with a portfolio demonstrating creative projects involving hardscape, landscaping, and outdoor living features.
• Proficiency in CAD software including SketchUp, AutoCAD, Rhinoceros 3D, Civil 3D, Revit, MicroStation, and Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator).
• Strong skills in rendering techniques—both digital renderings and hand-drawn illustrations—to visualize concepts vividly.
• Knowledge of construction processes, estimating costs, drafting construction documentation, and project management fundamentals.
• Familiarity with GIS tools such as ArcView or ArcGIS for site analysis and land surveying data integration.
• Background in horticulture or plant sciences to select appropriate landscaping elements that thrive sustainably within client environments.
• Excellent client communication skills with the ability to present ideas clearly and professionally while managing expectations effectively.
• Experience in civil engineering or civil projects is a plus; knowledge of irrigation systems and landscape maintenance is highly desirable.
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams on complex projects.

Pay: $85,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
