The RN/ADON provides oversight for LPN’s and CNA/RA’s in a busy Assisted Living facility. Primary location will be one but willing to float to other Assisted Living Facilities with guidance and as directed by the RN/DON.
JOB SUMMARY:
The role of the RN/Assistant of Director of Nursing is to ensure that the health and safety of all residents are met through ensuring there are appropriate assessments of the residents are completed, appropriate Service Plans and Care Plans are developed to capture the needs of the resident according to the Person Centered Care model. The RN/ADON will assist to ensure that staff are trained in nursing policies and procedures that are current and up to date. The RN/ADON will also assist to ensure that the Assisted Living services are in compliance with current regulations and standards of the Minnesota Department of Health. Must be able to relate professionally with residents, staff, family members, and the greater communities that we serve. The ADON will display a positive attitude and offer a positive approach with problem solving and work as a team with other staff members and be able to work independently and make decisions timely, when needed.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Duties include (but are not limited to): performing assessments on clients at admission, 14 days, 90 days or with any change in condition. Assisting rounding primary care and psychiatric care providers making sure any needed information is available, complete new orders and follow-up needs. Perform regular compliance audits for infection control, medication management/administration, quality assurance, follow up on incidents, work with pharmacies for medication refills and assuring monthly medication change over is complete and all needed medications are available. Assist LPN’s as needed with day to day tasks: wound care, diabetic monitoring, client appointments and transportation. Communication/coordination of care with medical and psychiatric providers. Assist in training and competency evaluations with new staff and 30 day performance evaluations of new staff.
This is a 8-4:30 M-F position 5 days per week, prefer set schedule, with one week of on call duty every 7 weeks. You will be responsible for after hours calls from our Hibbing, Chisholm, Nashwauk, and Virginia facilities. An additional $500 pay is provided for the week of on-call duties.
