Job Title: Apprentice Advisor (Bilingual) – Electrical Training Program
Position Summary:
The Apprentice Advisor plays a critical, people-focused role in shaping the next generation of electrical professionals. This position serves as the primary connection between apprentices, instructors, and member electrical contractors—guiding students from enrollment through employment and beyond.

Key Responsibilities:
Apprentice Recruitment, Registration & Scheduling
- Guide prospective apprentices through the application, registration, and onboarding process
- Coordinate class schedules, orientations, and program milestones
- Serve as a welcoming first point of contact for new and returning students
Attendance, Compliance & Progress Tracking
- Track apprentice attendance and participation
- Maintain accurate student records and documentation
- Monitor progress and follow up with apprentices to support retention and success
Student Support & Communication
- Provide ongoing guidance, encouragement, and problem-solving support
- Maintain consistent communication via email, phone, and in-person meetings
- Serve as an advocate for apprentices throughout their training journey
Apprentice Placement & Employer Engagement
- Connect apprentices with member electrical contractors for employment opportunities
- Match candidates to job openings based on skills, experience, and employer needs
- Build and maintain strong relationships with member companies
- Follow up with both apprentices and employers to ensure successful placements
Administrative Support & Follow-Up
- Maintain databases, reports, and correspondence
- Support program operations with timely follow-through and attention to detail
- Assist with special projects, events, and workforce initiatives as needed
Qualifications
- Proven experience in an administrative, education, training, recruitment, or staffing role
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills (English & Spanish required)
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and database systems
- Outgoing, professional, and personable with a passion for helping others succeed
- Experience sourcing, screening, and placing candidates is a plus
- Ability to build trust-based relationships with students and employers
- Strong follow-up skills and a results-driven mindset
Work Environment
- Full-time position
- Occasional evening or weekend hours to support class schedules, orientations, or events
